Beyond the Court: Building Community Leaders
At Christchurch Firebirds, we believe a player’s impact shouldn't end when the final buzzer sounds. Our community service program is designed to teach our athletes the value of empathy, leadership, and civic duty. From local food drives to mentoring younger peers, our players take the teamwork they learn on the hardwood and apply it to the neighborhoods we call home. We aren't just coaching basketball; we’re raising the next generation of community leaders.
3x3 Basketball and Haircut for a cause
The 3v3 Tournament wasn’t the only thing spicing up the weekend; our Barberong Boleros showed up and showed us what it truly means to have big talent and a bigger heart!
From 9 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon — they spent SIX HOURS working in the foyer, all while knowing not a single cent was going in their pockets; Adam Relucio and Grant had a goal and reached far beyond it.
Through their hard work, they have raised 215 DOLLARS in support of the Child Cancer Foundation
Goodjob and thank you again, boys, and to all who came to support the cause. The success of this event has only further convinced the Christchurch Firebirds Club to continue our volunteer and philanthropic work.
